Insulation Industry

In our increasingly urban environment insulation is being applied more and more. Insulation is commonly used against heat loss and noise pollution. Designers and builders can choose from many materials, which can fulfil one or both functions. In earlier days, the choice was mainly determined by price and quality.

Today, the demand for a healthy and protected environment has set a new criteria. As you may know, many insulation materials can be hazardous for human beings and for the environment. For all designers and builders who are looking to resolve these problems, now there is a healthy and sustainable alternative: Cocoplate.

Cocoplate

Cocoplate is made from the coir fibres of the coconut husk. These coir fibres are being curled and then interconnected by means of a needling process. After this process, rubber latex is sprayed onto the fibres and then pressed into dense plates. By heating, the rubber is vulcanised, meaning all coir fibres are bonded by means of 'rubber strings'. Therefore, Cocoplate has excellent shock and sound absorbing properties. Due to the coir fibres being hollow, the heat insulation is also proven to perform well.

Cocoplate is the environmental alternative to synthetic insulation materials. The handling and presence of Cocoplate does not harm human beings and the environment in any way.

Even better, the raw materials, coir fibres and rubber latex, are constantly being reproduced by nature and the ecological balance is not endangered. This makes Cocoplate perfectly suited for many insulation applications.
